Tool Designer

RPM International Tool and Die Ltd have been in operation for 30 years and is New Zealand’s leading largest privately owned Tool Making manufacturer. RPM is based on the North Shore in Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city, in ultra-modern premises with state of the art plant and equipment. Due to our customers thirst for tooling and the expansion in our Design department we require a highly skilled Tool Designer with Project Management skills to join the team. We are prepared to give full software training to the right applicant. Tool Design and 3D modelling experience is not a necessity, but a very strong tool making background is.

Responsibilities for the position include:

  • Undertake complete Tool Design from concepts to reality using ProE software
  • Undertake management of projects
  • Undertake product design if required
  • Produce hard copy drawings for manufacture
  • Produce complete bill of materials
  • Liaising with Sales staff and clients
  • Maintaining the existing ISO9001-2008 quality system
  • Ensuring product compliance
  • Investigating non-compliance
  • Initiating, implementing and documenting improvements

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Qualified Tool Maker with a minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience in manufacturing
  • Current, relevant experience working as a Tool Designer for at least 5 years
  • Full working knowledge, manufacturing and design, of all tool types, press tooling and or plastic injection mold tooling
  • 3D modelling experience would help
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and report writing skills
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Toolmaker 

Looking to start 2016 in a new and challenging role?

An exciting opportunity exists with New Zealand’s leading toolmakers.

RPM International are looking for qualified toolmakers with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in manufacturing of Press and/or Mold Tooling and precision machining.  Preference will be given to those applicants who also have some experience in Tool and Die design and the ability to operate and program NC machines however the role of Toolmaker is the primary focus.

Coupled with this you will have a proven track record in time management, ability to get on with others in a team environment as well as work on your own without supervision and possess all of the necessary skills that would be expected of a competent Toolmaker.

You will be working in a modern factory environment with state of the art plant, equipment and resources.  International clientele coupled with a strong local customer base.  The company is based on the North Shore in New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland.

CNC Mill Programmer/Operator

Highly experienced 3 Axis CNC Mill Programmer/Operator required to join the team at New Zealand’s leading Toolmaking facility. A modern factory environment with state of the art plant, equipment and resources. International clientele coupled with a strong local customer base. RPM International is based on the North Shore in New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland.

You must be able to demonstrate you have a sound knowledge of 3 Axis machining, be fully conversant with Fanuc and or Heidenhain Controllers with the ability to program. Ideally you will be a qualified toolmaker with experience in manufacturing, press/stamping tools, plastic injection mold tools, and precision machining. Coupled with this you will have a proven track record in time management, ability to get on with others in a team environment as well as work on your own without supervision, and possess all of the necessary skills that would be expected of a competent CNC Operator. You may also be required to work on either the day or afternoon shift however this role is primarily for the day shift position.
